- i went to school from k-12 in a small country town LORANGER! Go WOLVES! just graduated high school in may and now going to delgado for my paramedic degree, but after i get my Basic and firefighter im going to take a year or 2 off of school to work in the department and then go back to get my para.

- Why I Joined Fire/EMS
- because firemen are hot, lol no i always loved medicine and was always and adrenilin junkie, wanted to go blue with NYPD but came across the chance to take a EMT course and it was always somehting i loved so i took the shot and from there just sort of had opportunities to do more so i joined my local department as a volunteer and when i get my license at registry in jan. im going to start working on my fire certi. and once i get that go pro.

- the rush of a call and knowing that no matter what the outcome you did your best.
- Top Issues Facing Responders:
- too many legalistic issues getting in the way of fire and ems services being able to do their jobs.

We are offering opportunities for full pay and benefits WHILE WE TRAIN YOU to become a professional Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician! These entry level positions require no previous experience. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school. A GED is acceptable.

If selected, we provide a competitive minimum salary of $44,086 and exceptional benefits. I spent a lot of time in LA as a Firefighter/Inspector for FEMA. Seven months in NOLA for Katrina and 51 weeks in Lake Charles for Hurricane Rita.
