Yesterday I went out and purchased the movie "Fireproof" Today I finally watched it and I am totally amazed at how good it is, It definitly is not the typical firefighter movie although there are some good scenes in it. The movie I am sure shows what alot of us can end up doing, getting to tied up with our Departments and forgetting about our loved ones at home. Now I am not saying we all do it, but I know at times its like thats all I know how to talk about, and then I usually tell my wife sorry (after she jokingly asks if there wasn't a burning building I need to run into LOL) This is a very good movie to watch if you feel you are getting to tied up in work, and need a little reminder of the other family that puts up with us running all the time. The religious parts of the movie for me were really good, and just reassures my belief in God, I may not be able to attend church but I do have a strong faith, and know that I would not be where I am at without Gods help. But again this is not the typical firefighter movie but a really good one if you can excuse the bad acting.

My wife brought home the movie for us to watch stating “look honey a movie about firefighters and family”. I thought great, there would be something in it for both of us. However, the further we got into the movie we both started noticing the strong religious overtones. Don’t get me wrong, I may not be a regular church going man but my higher power is very strong and the same goes for my wife. It’s just that we were both very surprised. The movie was not what we had expected. I also noticed that the main character was from an old TV sitcom. I think it was Family Ties.

I heard the main actor did his part for free! Kind of puts a deeper meaning to the movie...

I thought it was a good movie and it had some sad parts that get to you at times but it was nice to watch a movie the whole family can watch together BE SAFE!!!
