Happy New Year!!

Hope everyone is having a great New Years Eve!! I've been suffering from lack of laptop as my hard drive crashed and burned (why, no I had not backed anything up in ages)

So, I've been puttering along and borrowing the better half's computer.

Florida firefighters- here is the Save Our Services website

Anyone who lives in Florida knows that the tax reform referendum is coming up on January 29th. Anyone in emergency services or public education also knows that what is being proposed is not going to help home owners and will endanger jobs.

The funeral

My Honor Guard just helped out with a funeral for a firefighter from a neighboring agency. It really affected me, I think that I'm just starting to get old and emotional. A few of my guys knew the fallen firefighter. I felt like I needed to do something more, so I put fingers to keyboard and I wrote a little synapsis of what a firefighter funeral is like. Just something that civilians might be able to read and relate to.
