Hal Brunno retires as Chariman of NFFF

EMMITSBURG, MD -- Hal Bruno retired Thursday as the chairman of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation's board of directors.



Dennis Compton was unanimously selected to replace Bruno, a charter member of the board.

LODD D EMS Accident - Indiana

We regret to advise you of an LODD FD ambulance crash involving the Brown Township Fire Department in Central Indiana (Morgan County). Police report that an SUV crossed the center line on State Road 144 and struck the ambulance head on. A member of the BTFD was killed in the Line of Duty. Another BTFD member was transported to the hospital in an unknown condition. The civilian driver of the SUV was also pronounced dead at the scene. Firefighters briefly trapped in Raleigh Fire

Several firefighters were briefly trapped inside a burning apartment complex in Raleigh (N.C.) Saturday before they escaped unharmed. (RADIO AUDIO BELOW)

OHIO FIRE CHIEF LODD: It is with deep regret that we advise you that the Chief of the Ohio City FD in Ohio City, Ohio (30 miles to the east of Ft. Wayne, IN) has died in the Line of Duty.
