A Cleveland Firefighter was seriously injured Tuesday when burning some rubbish at the home of his girlfriends parents house. It is reported the fire flashed and burned him in the face.

Durham Minn - Firefighter Critical After Training

A Durham firefighter is in critical condition as a result of a major head injury caused during training operations. The firefighter Eric Rozier was conducting an Urban Search and Rescue Training on Jordan Lake.

Tow Truck Driver Injured Helping Set up Drill

A tow truck operater in Detroit Lakes, Minn was seriously injured while trying to assist a fire department in a mass casualty drill.

Miami House Fire Highlights The Unexpected

Miami firefighters were confronted with a not so typical entry situation in early August 2008. Firefighters arrived to a single family dwelling well off. First team on the attack was confronted with an entry door that was welded shut. Firefighters were able to utilize a partner saw to get into the dwelling turning an exterior attack into an interior attack.

Charlotte FIRE TRUCK v SUV

CHARLOTTE -- Five people including four firefighters are recovering after a car accident involving a fire truck and an SUV on Monday morning.

The incident happened at the intersection of South Boulevard and Woodlawn Road. Firefighters were on the way to another accident on Interstate 77 at the time.

Conshohocken went to work on a massive 8 Alarm Blaze

Firefighters from Conshohocken went to work on a massive 8 Alarm Blaze in a luxury apartment house that later spread to four other buildings. Despite the massive fire philly.com is reporting only one firefighter and one civilian were injured. The fire took place at the RiverWalk at the Millennium complex in Schuykill.

FDNY Firefighter Sean McCarthy Dies At 35 - 9/11 Casualty



News sources are reporting FDNY Firefighter Sean McCarthy has died of complications related to Cancer. Sean was in a family of FDNY firefighters, a lifetime resident of Bellmore, and only 35 years old. One of his brothers told Newsday that Sean developed asthma and an enlarged gland after working at the site of the World Trade Center after the attacks.

Fresno Firefighter Falls Thru Roof

A firefighter is lucky to be ok. It is reported the firefighter fell thru a roof of a one story residence in Fresno while doing venting operations. The news reporter in the video above actually reports he was still on scene participating in firefighting activities despite falling thru. I question the reasoning for allowing a firefighter to still operate on a scene after falling thru a roof. I hope the reporter got this one wrong.

Libert Township Rollover

February 23, 2008

Ice is to blame for another rollover in the Liberty Township when firefighters responded to a two car motor vehicle accident. Two of the firefighters were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

BRONX RESCUE VIDEO

FDNY firefighters were put to the test on December 21, 2007 when they faced an apartment fire with civilians inside.
