About Me:: I have been on the fire and rescue dept now for about a year and a half. I have not been able to complete my EMT course do to having back surgery. I have just taken the public relations position and am hoping to do a good job. I have also volunteered to be the chair for fire prevention week as well as recruting new volunteers. I really hope that I can do a great job at that as well.
I am also a mother of two my son Dominick who is 8 and my daughter who is 6. Both already interested in being on the dept. My husband has been on the dept for about 9 years now and is 2nd Captain.

Day Job:: I have a 24/7 job. I take care of my two wonderful children.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: I have always wanted to find a way to help people and this is the way I chose to do it.

Sorry that I have not been around in a long time. I have found out some news about my health which has put my life at a stand still. Early this month I found out that I have to have back surgery. They are going to fuse two of my vertabrate together. When I found all this out, I have been trying to get all my affairs in order. Like making sure my kids will be taken care of. My house is cleaned, yea I know :). Partying as much as I can. The doc says after the surgery it will be at least 3 months… Continue

As a rule of thumb remember this and apply it for the rest of your career. The general public will fail to recognize accomplishments, and the saves made, but will be the first one to point a finger of blame or negligence.
