Me and my broken finger day 5

Posted on June 19, 2008 at 9:06pm 0 Comments

Well hello all. Me and my broken finger went and competed in the Police and Firefighter games today. My luck was it is on my left hand and I am right handed. Me and my doubles parter took Silver. We go back tomorrow morning and bowl singles. I was on pain medicine the whole time so I think that is why we took a silver medal 'cause if I was not taking them I would have torn it up baby. ;0).

Stay safe people

Mmmmm Cheezz-its

O.K. I guess I better watch it or I will gain 5000 pounds. I am just sitting around (in pain might i add) nursing this stupid broken finger, eatting Cheez-it's drinking Coke and watching T.V. Sounds great I know but probally in the long run not such a good thing.

Loss

Hello all,

It was a horrific week. I lost a wonderful friend to a senseless crime. He was a tremendous man, father and fire Captain. I feel sad and lost. While dealing with this i break a finger so i am out on short term disability for 6 weeks. Geez. Life can be so cruel and totally unpredictable and can leave you out there swinging in the wind.

Ok, thought about how unhappy i am in my current situation at my station so I put in for a transfer. My Chief wanted to know what happened to make me want to leave that station so i told him and he was very unhappy that i am being treated the way i am. I am not a crybaby nor do i enjoy tension. I absolutely hate conflict and will not tolerated being disrespected by anyone so long story short i hope to be transfered soon.
Hope everyone out there is having a less dramatic day.

Rough shift

Hello all,

I am not sure if you saw my new topic i posted but yesterday was exactly what I was talking about in the posting. Smart assed, know it all rookies. I wanted to punch this guy in the mouth. Absolutely no respect unless you are on of his drinking buddies. I have no respect for this guy because he is like a remora on his training officers ass at all times, on and off the job. Very in your face and loud. It makes for a very uncomfortable and tense shift. Well for me at least he… Continue

Hey! I was looking around trying to find people in either Tampa Fire or Hillsborough and came across your page. I'm originally from Brandon but now have family in Tampa. I'm an active duty military firefighter headed back to good 'ol Tampa to hopefully get a job there. What would I be required to do? Any help you can give me would be awesome! Thanks for your time....Take care!

Hey Firegirl,

I was reading through “What is your preferred nozzle” when I found your page. I have to ask you….. Where did you find the Dennis Leary Coffee clip? That is awesome!

Take care,
