I need to forward the mayday audio from outside of FFN.
Stay safe brother.
Glad to hear from you. We're pretty much getting back to normal, but it's been a strange feeling since things aren't normal - if that makes sense. All the well wishes from our community and brothers abroad have been really healing and helpful. What amazes me is how sincere people are in their condolences. You can see in their eyes that they really mean it when they say they're sorry and they wish there was something they could do. It's touching to know so many people are grieving with you in some way.
Investigations are continuing; we had a meeting to disseminate the latest information, but I was working at Cincinnati and missed it. I'm hoping to catch up on the latest, but haven't gotten any further info as of yet. Everyone is kind of focused on the latest hiring process (Colerain and the City are both hiring) and have been really concentrating on our R.A.T. training. (Ha! My nose is all busted from the Denver and Nance drills and muscles I forgot I had are screaming at me for all the recent abuse - I feel OLD!)
Hope all is well in the great state of Texas... Stay safe, bro!

Thanks from the bottom of my heart for all of your thoughts and prayers. I am diligently passing along all of the well wishes to my brothers and sisters at Colerain.
I know you guys do a damn fine job, and I hope Colerain showed in full force for "Firefighter Appreciation Day" shouldn't it be everyday?

I rarely get on here, and did just the same thing by seeing that story on the homepage doing a search on the story for our website that day, and that is how I found that thread and told him "SHAME ON HIM". I feel awful that I even had to stick up for her at such a horrific time.
But, as I always have struggled with ignorance in this endeavor for the last 8 years to help those of the fallen in my work as an advocate to fallen firefighter families and have seen severe devastation, I have found that come out of the woodwork is true comradery when you least expect it. Even in the local benefit I held for Adam "Lumpy" a few years ago.
I work with LODD families day in and day out, since 2001. I didn't want to say that on the thread, because there is no point. I was chastized enough! But let me know if there is any information I can get to you and your family. I hope the debrievement crews are helping you.
I have a firefighter hand photo quilt to give all of you, all the way from Colorado Springs for the fallen, and there is a memorial guestbook on my site for their memory that was announced on the news for you all to sign, and would be honored to have you sign it along with the other guys.
Keep your chin up, and thanks for being you and thanks for protecting our community.
Sincerely,
Kari C. (wife of CTFD#92)
