Other Past or Current Departments and Organizations
Our website was constructed to advocate to firefighter families with LODD and LODI incidents and circumstances that require help and support. We chose to work with Facebook, Myspace and viral marketing outlets to further our work in charitable contributions and events.
My Training:
Advocacy & Support Resources pre/post 9/11
Loss, Grief & Bereavement Resourcing
Charity Event Coordinating
Assistance with family issues surrounding the firefighter family & lifestyle.
About Me:
Our site was designed in full detail from an idea by a firefighter family in the midwest of the United States in April, 2001 to help families. After 9/11 we chose to move further, progressing in social networking and resources to help in "Keeping The Connection" program among wives, mothers and families. RIP Captain Robin Broxterman & FF Brian Schira 4.4.08
To provide resourceful information to the firefighter, police and any EMS families.

Kari,
Thanks for the comments; I can't tell you how sad I am right now. As you already know - Robin was the best. I didn't know Brian well at all, since he was so new to CTFD, but he was - according to the brothers - one of the good ones.
I am glad to see someone is helping folks in this area. I was shocked at how unprepared everyone was for this horrific event. Nobody had a clue what to do. It was touching to see everyone band together and figure it out together; covering shifts, making calls, running liaison with the media and public... It's been overwhelming.
Anyway - I appreciate you. Tell Flip I said hello. I doubt he'll remember me, though, we were on different units and only worked together twice before he left.
