FIREFIGHTER PRAYER

Posted on October 16, 2007 at 8:20am 0 Comments

Lord grant me courage

Each time I’m called to danger

As I work for the safety

Of family, friend and stranger

Make me strong and able

For the job I have to do…

Firefighter’s Prayer

Posted on October 16, 2007 at 8:19am 0 Comments

When I am called to duty, God, wherever flames may rage,

Give strength to save some life whatever be its age.

Help me to embrace a little child before it is too late,

Or save an older person from the horror of that fate.

Help me be alert and hear the weakest shout,…

GOD'S CHOSEN

Posted on October 16, 2007 at 8:18am 0 Comments

When the signal goes off, and he's needed to fight, he responds without fear, knowing the danger is in sight. Whatever the order, his dispatcher cries out, as he turns on his flasher, I can hear him shout: "Gotta run doll no time for good-bye". Oh I pray, Dear God, please watch over my guy. He's gentle and loving, he's strong and he's brave, and forever in training, for that…

A SALUTE TO A FIREFIGHTER

Posted on October 16, 2007 at 8:15am 0 Comments

Bravery, quick thinking and dedication too, these are the essential elements of the noble job they do. Possessing the technical knowledge they do is only one part of the game, it takes more than confidence in equipment to tackle a wall of flame. Through the smoke, soot, and darkness, a firefighter answers the call. To protect the lives of others, they dare to risk it all. These…

Tanya; Sorry for the long delay getting back to you; The flu had been running through the house and things are so backed up. Here is a book you can look up and help you work with; It's called " A New Harbinger Self-Help Workbook" The PTSD Workbook the book is by Mary Beth Williams, Ph.D., LCSW, CTS
Soili Poijula, Ph.D. I use this book to this day and also do the work sheet work in it and if you want to set time or like me link a chat time setup and do the work sheet together. And I have more info I get daily, I do get things in two or three time a week . The best start is this book I call my tool box and it helps. "Your Friend Jim God Bless Stay Safe".

Looking forward to hear from you in the future soon, I never got an e-mail about you wanting to be with the group. To me it is very important to see the group get off the ground just like debriefing did but as you know it was to late for myself and other brothers& sisters. And help like I did as a firefighter EMS Provider and keep giving in another way. So if you want I do have another e-mail address it's racingdjgse@hotmail.com.
Thank You Jim Mc Laughlin
