yea i thought so to i have some friends on Memphis fd and Fort worth that are interested I am one of three on my little department which is Germantown right out side of Memphis my call for now is KG4VXB i am considering a vanity call but any way i hang out on 80 meters on sat mornings for the tn phone and 20 meters in the afternoon. the chief has given me permission to put an icom 718 in the station as long as it will do winlink and he buying the modem

Yes, I fought fires many years ago as vol and vol comm officer, but health & jobs took me to 21 years as a street medic. Not to mention the fact of 4th generation fire/public safety. I refer you to the CFSI/Motorola Fire Service Leadership Award, + little bro is city fire marshal/ATF Arson. I work closely with local FD's on major incidents @ IC. I was invited to this site by Dave Ianone and You are the founder?

A net on echolink would be good for those of us who are in the best of both worlds....Firefighting and Amateur Radio. I have been a ham since 1988 and have the general class license.
