The daughter already loves the Dept at 5yrs and the son at 2yrs hopefully will start enjoying it soon. My HERO, Pop, Sherman D. Rockwell, Best Man Ever!!!!!!!!
Day Job:
Fire Sprinkler Inspector, SimplexGrinnell
Relationship Status:
Married
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
Well like most kids, I grew up wanting to be a Firefighter. Probably for the same reasons, Big red trucks, flashing lights and sirens. The main difference that separates me from the rest however is because of my HERO. My Grandfather, Sherman D. Rockwell, started my Fire Dept in 1964 and was the original Chief of the Dept and held the position for a total of about 32 yrs. Growing up with Pop as the Chief has made me a better person and has definitely trained my heart to attempt to follow in this Great mans footsteps. Now I doubt I will ever get to the years as Chief like Pop has, but I think the past 6 isn't too bad! Im sure that I am not the only person who has had that special someone influence them in the Fire Service and for those that have you understand Im sure.

Hello =))) I with pleasure would send to you, something. But I can not now. We in Russia have a big problem. It is financial crisis. As soon as I will grow rich a little, I will necessarily send gifts to all my friends in different states and the countries. Many ask to send to them patches. I will try to make it in the future. But I do not know when at me it will turn out.
Excuse me for bad English.
Hi Duane,
We're still very much good to go for Saturday...and if you think I'm not including a FNG(irl) story...think again. :)
Looking forward to it. I think I'm ok with directions...but feel free to send the local version to my work email---it's training@fasny.com. Coming from Albany. I told Steve I was planning on arriving around 6:30 or so....I'll ask for you when I get there.
Thanks!!
Duane, welcome to the Nation. I am glad you stopped in to join the group. Your input and contribution here is important to us all. Dont be shy just jump in and get your feet wet. Lots to see, do and be involved with here. You will get out of this what you put into it. So have fun and get involved.

Any friend of Steve's is a friend of mine, well, except there was this one guy... oh never mind.
Accept my friend request and I'll drop you a line about my brotherhood quote.
Stay safe. Train often.
