The Backroom Crew

This is a place where we can sit down, put our feet up and chill. Where the Boys and Girls can just be themselves. The Back Room or what most firefighters call a ''day room or rec room'' is the social point of every firehouse.

Hi Bob, welcome to the insanity that is known as the "Backroom"! Hey, we are used to some fairly rank smelling stuff around here so shoes off is not a problem ... the whole thing is about getting comfortable!! Cold? Geez, it is 93 degrees here in Nashville ... send some of that cold stuff my way - please!!!

Hey Chief, glad it arrived!! They have a couple more (back ordered for another week!) which are great. Keeping my eye out for another really good one (funny would be nice!) - great if it were pink, eh?!?!

Hey, Thanks for the invite, can we leave our shoes on as the smell from some feet and the cold may not mix well,
Anyway Thanks again.

Good to hear that about your Mom!! From what I remember, baseline is just a "norm" for where she should be at certain times in recovery. They usually have several of these (right after stroke; 48 hours; one week; six weeks; 3 months; six months ...). Just depends on the Neuro doc and therapists take of her recovery.

Morning all (barely!!) ...

Thanks for the coffee Chief ... of course, seeing the picture of you in the green shirt sort of made the coffee "moot". Didn't need it to wake up by then!! LOL!! Please do give us an update on mom. Know she was do to return to center soon - she back yet?

Ralph ... folks like your co-worker need to find something else to do!! Really detest whiners!!

Rossi ... I LOVE the pink!!! That is too cool lady! What I am working on for your care package is pink desk accessories! They can "magically" appear at odd times, but be hidden if chief needs to do so!! Yep, I am bad ... and LOVE it!! :)

Hey Mike M!! Hope you have a great day up there in KY!! We are climbing to mid 90s today! Yippeee!

As far as job schedule is concerned, Ralph, company policy has us work 4-10's. Not to include the one-hour drive, one way everyday. I normally arrive work very early...waaay before the shifts start. Get my emails answered, make coffee for the troops, start work early with no interruptions.
Chief Mike, glad mom's ok. Just interesting on the job? hhhhhmmmmm. LOL
Mike Meadows, going to be in the 100's this weekend. NICE!!!!

Ralph sounds like a real whinner...err.....winner that you work with there. I always used to show up for shift early that way I could make sure the truck I was working in was ready to go. One thing I used to hate was needing something and not having it or worse going on a call and the truck breaking down. I know not everything can be prevented but when there is no tranny fluid in the tranny...well...you know. Rossi glad the weather is good there nice and sunny here too but not quite that hot yet. Thanks for the coffee Chief it's needed.

Ralph, that will be his office door color from the inside. I still got plans for that boy...LMAO. I guess you can do this type of thing to your friends and get away with it. Take care Ralph.

Chief Mike, how's that new job doing? How's mom?
