The Backroom Crew

This is a place where we can sit down, put our feet up and chill. Where the Boys and Girls can just be themselves. The Back Room or what most firefighters call a ''day room or rec room'' is the social point of every firehouse.

FW, sweet fire fighters, maybe. Young? NOPE!!!! And since we don't have any influence on them, what can we do while the Chief is away? Hhhhhhhmmmmm!?!?!?!?!?

FW, I love your sticker. We actually work on something like that here....something about high velocity that gives me lots of goosebumps. LOL. And mind you this machine is shorter than me. So Chief, never under estimate the power of small people or things. LMAO

Ralph, I'll send your saying along with a glass of pink lemonade to my Chief.....he may not like it but oh well.

Rossi ... amazing what kind of influences these FD folks have on us, eh?? They are always such sweet, young, things ...

I was driving to the pub last Friday night when an SUV comes up and sits on my tail. Was doing speed limit and figured he could go around me. Finally, he starts to pass me and toots his horn! I look over and here is this guy grinning and giving me the thumbs up. He then points to the back of his SUV and pulls in front of me. Surprise!! There is the same bumper sticker as I have along with a matching Fallen Firefighter sticker! My bumper snicker is: "I enjoy manipulating mechanical devices which propel small lead projectiles through space at a high velocity." I always get a kick out of watching people trying to figure out what the sticker is talking about!!

That's why you're the Chief, right? LOL

FW, me BAD? NNNNOOOOOO!!!! Our FD has a big influence on me. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. LOL
Pink lemonade sounds great on a warm sunny day in Vegas. I'll make sure he gets it before the end of the week.

Ralph, you still ok with the veggie garden? I can spare a couple of pool probies, I mean pool boys, to help you while you attend to your family.

We will make sure you someone covers while you are golfing ... just remember to remove the golf shoes before you go back into any meetings!!

Ummm, Chief? Do we want to know WHAT you finally figured out?? That sort of "blanket" statement tends to scare me!! LOL!!

Rossi ... you are SO bad (and I love it!!) Can you get your chief a glass of pink lemonade? You know, just something to get things started ... :D

Chief, we have things covered for you ... I will take care of the office while Rossi and Jess take care of the pool probies, ooops, I mean the deck and pool!!

Ralph, when you start calling me Obiwan, the distance between TN and MI will not be far enough away ... you might want to consider moving somewhere - far, far, away! I'm just sayin' ...

FW, stay away from the dumpster, ok? Good thing us, women, have only 2 knees....men have 3. Can't explain it here...might get banned. But, men, lemme know if you get the clue. LOL-(wink-wink)-LMAO-ROTFL. See, mischief, AGAIN. Never stops and never will. Oh well, II-W-II.
Chief's care package is GROWING? I have not told him about that yet. I'm sure he'll appreciate all your effort and I'll get blamed for it either way. Wonder if I can bother him today since he's taking a test....YEAH-YEAH-YEAH. :-P

Ralph and Coolidge, glad you have that positive outlook in life. Family always comes first. We're with yah no matter what happens. Group hug, anyone? LOL. I'm a hugger.

Chief, have a cold one for us while you're "enjoying" the State Chiefs. Maybe you can bring my Chief with you and edumacate him on "how to have fun"....LOL

MM, high temps in Vegas....ready for that sun and a massage on the deck!!!! Where'd that pool boy go....Boy do I wish!!!!

Good morning all!!

Chief, thanks for the coffee!! Hit the spot!! Please wish mom happy belated birthday!! Glad to hear she goes back to assisted living tomorrow - definitely easier for everyone and she will be more comfortable!!

Ralph, so sorry to hear about your uncle!! Prayers are with you all my friend. My tomatoes and herbs are in the ground. Think I am going to add a couple of banana pepper plants and some eggplant so we can grill those this summer.

Hey Rossi!! I am one of those people who stays away from high heat; at least outside (had heat stroke in my teens). Having been a chef, I probably had the coldest kitchens on the planet! Still collecting for Chief's care package ... :D

Hi MM!! Hope all is well with you and V up there!! Bonaroo count down has begun! My EMT buddies are preparing as if going into war - which I guess is fairly wise!! LOL!!

Hi Susan - welcome to the Back Room!!

Hi Coolidge, welcome back. Thoughts and prayers going out to you and your family. Wishing your mom a full and speedy recovery!!

Hi Rob, welcome to our happy, little family!!

Oh, and FW is not on vacation ... she decided rearranging her knee was a good idea and spent Sunday night and yesterday with it propped, braced, iced, and pain-killered. Back at work today with it propped on trash can feeling like an idiot ... what a novel experience!! LOL!!

Ralph, glad you're home safe. Have faith. I guess craziness must run in your family, huh? Anything to take the pain off your Uncle's mind. You're an amazing person!!!!
Take care and don't work too hard. I got Rockstar if you need it.
