The Backroom Crew

This is a place where we can sit down, put our feet up and chill. Where the Boys and Girls can just be themselves. The Back Room or what most firefighters call a ''day room or rec room'' is the social point of every firehouse.

I am just fire right now, but have been thinking very hard about becoming an EMT-B, providing a class opens nearby and I can find a way to finance it.

About half of our dept. are FF/EMT-B

you don't need a fancy drier... really even if you have to put your gear back on wet - big deal - you are going to be wet again in a few minutes anyways... hee hee

Just take all the parts apart - and KNOW how to quickly put them properly back together...

Get one of these... some are more sturdy than others - so check out a few... but you do not need to spend much $... and

Target - Walmart - Kmart - Hardware Store - $15-$20

I have experienced that smell before, just not to that severity yet. Damn welding burns.

Ernie, you strictly fire or you run with EMS as well?

heads up - charred human flesh will stick on you too - so when you go home to shower - that same smell will spread... not so enjoyable... fyi

If it helps at all, the gear is on a couple of hangars that are hooked to the rod, I do not have the gear draped over it. :.)
