BEEN FOREVER - Izzy... First fire - can't remember (or maybe I need to think about it for a little while - after hundreds and hundreds they all run together)... First fatality in structure fire NEVER FORGET... wish I could... can't get that smell out of my head...

Ernie, Im just kidding ! they teast me all the time at the station, and thats what I say to them, unfortunately for them as well as anyone else that knows me, I can make a truck driver blush. LOL... I can ACT like a lady, but it kills me. ( too many years of being the only woman around the station) ROTFLMAO

Heather- exactly, that is why I need to adhere better to the 1* rule, because there is only "one a** to risk"...mine!!!

Izzy- will have to think about a bin, I have an '01 Nissan Xterra, so there is just a little bit over the just right room in the back for the bag and, unfortunately, I have no garage...dang it!!

Ernie, thats normal, why you think we're asking you? we're old, but not senile. LMAO we know you just had to tell someone, and the wife probably isnt all that thrilled with hearing it all, especially if she's not in the service, she'll understand, but its cool sharing your "first time" LMAO.... and thanks Heather. he's my true soulmate.... we're like teenagers. LMAO, my daughters tease us all the time......

ok, wasn't sure. they wont let us do that here. we have to go to the station first, we had a fatality, with too many POV's coming in, and they had to stop it. maybe a bin for your gear, instead of just a bag, might help you out with having it in the car/truck, and maybe a rack in the garage.... just a thought.

That is what I was referring to Heather, for something like a chemical decon, I am assuming (I know, the "mother of all f***ups") that they would probably get me a different set while they deconned mine. That is something that I will have to ask the Chief about.

Izzy- we usually get assigned to something as we show up on scene...

the apparatus is brought by the one person working at that station (we have two stations) and the rest of us respond by POV.
