That would be nice. I am not sure to what extent anything is enforced other than checking the phone records when the driver is involved in an accident.

i think cars be built now with some jamming device - especially for parents to turn on when their kids have the car

It would also be nice to see laws like that one in particular to be implemented federally like it has been in OTR trucks.

I agree with you 100% Heather...I see people here doing it all the time as well and it scares the hell out of a person...

and we normally have enough room to take evasive action if need be to avoid these idiots whereas, out there doesn't afford much of that 'cushion'

I hope they give HUGE fines in place quickly for texting offenses - FIRST TIME OFFENSES !!!

Like - taking the phone - and the car !!!

There is nothing so emergent that needs to be said - that it needs to be said BY TEXT !

Yes - I would love to live right on the CA coast... But I really only live in CA for school - so I live on my university campus.
