Wow Heatther!! Hopefully, nephew outgrows it soon; that would not be fun. I agree; better to have backup there if needed! Doctor is an idiot to say otherwise! Will get an e-mail out to you; bring you up to speed.

omg I forgot to tell you what happened today... firewriter you threw me for a loop...

My 3 yr old nephew stopped breathing today - for the 5th time in the last 2 years - apparently he has some issue that 5% of children have that when they have a trauma or excitement their brain reboots and makes the kid stop breathing. His mom is an EMT (dad is a doctor/EMT). He is ok - but for the 1-3 minutes each time that he is not breathing and is blue freaks everyone out. According to the doctor, most kids outgrow it by age 5 - two more years of this is gonna kill his mama... Good thing they are on good terms with the (paid) ambulance & vollie FD who come every time she calls and then sends them away upon arrival/ My sister-in-law says she is calling an ambulance EVERY TIME despite the pediatrician saying "she is over-reacting, just watch the non-breathing preschooler for a few minutes and he SHOULD WAKE UP"..... OMG.... so my sister-in-law says the ambulance needs to be there as back-up to the baby or for her when she has a heart-attack from rescue breathing for her baby so many times in his short life... makes sense to me...

oh yeah... and as I was out and about this morning - I saw a man drive his car head on into a concrete bridge abuptment - thank god he was wearing a seatbelt and was able to climb out and call himself an ambulance - but HOLY COW that was one of the best accidents that I have every fully witnessed right in front of me...

and I forgot to address a comment Chris made earlier this week about THE BEST EMS call he has ever been on - as far as teamwork... and I meant to mention - Very Important Chris to notice when those things happen to give you energy for the times when the FD pisses you off ;-) So Good Job !!!

Good morning crew! Yes, I am alive and kicking (and screaming and a few million other things)! Just popping in to say "hi" and going to try to get back in the loop like a good little girl!
Just had say, "Heather, you do come up with the greatest names!!!" Have kept me laughing through some crappy stuff just seeing all of them.
Hope all are well and behaving! Sounds like a very busy night up there Jim!
