I am up at this ungodly hour - since i actually need to go to work for a few hours - go figure... I have been off for so long I hardly care anymore about it :-)

which is I guess the doctors point when he put me off on stress leave in the first place...

Izzy, I often don't think there is enough money on the planet to pay us for the crap we put up with!

Patti; even as a volunteer, you are, in essence, a "public employee". It is all in the perception; not the title or pay. Kudos on trying to bridge the gap; it is almost impossible in some places; others, it seems to work.

As to curbing what you say; that should not be needed here so long as you keep it from becoming totally profane or lewd. You should be able to spout off; that is the idea of having this place - to get things off our chests to others who will understand the issues. We do have some jackasses who just have to throw their dumbass egos in the way, but those we ignore - it REALLY pisses them off! LOL!!

Hang tight lady! We got your back ... and believe me, between you, me, Izzy, Dee, Heather, Jess and the other ladies? We got it covered! LOL!!

I'll keep trying and I will keep working at it, I don't quit..... I just have to be more creative and I think tomorrow I will talk with Chief and presents some ideas to him. He is interested in bridging this gap as well.

honestly, its great that you want to bridge that gap, but i think its always gonna exist. you sound like me, but I voice my opinions, which gets me in trouble sometimes, I get tired of biting my tongue, so-to-speak. yep, tensions are always gonna be there, because they all have their own agenda, and dont wanna see outside the box, and see the concept of putting their ideas together. I've noticed it seems that they're more interested in blowing up their own ego than they are doing whats best for their towns and residents. your hearts in the right place, though
