The Backroom Crew

This is a place where we can sit down, put our feet up and chill. Where the Boys and Girls can just be themselves. The Back Room or what most firefighters call a ''day room or rec room'' is the social point of every firehouse.

Great Day to be Irish... not just St. Patties Day...

Patti I am glad you are finding a way to spend some special time with your friend... sooner than later...

Baily good job chasing the prize...

if you like it... put a ring on it... a girlfriend ring that is...

but take it slow and enjoy the ride you two... don't let the old people in this group push you too far too fast... and use protection ;-)

sorry mike your kid gave you a heart attack - he is growing up fast... and apparently a hopeless romantic too

Patti, I am sorry. Thinking about you little sister; prayers are with you all. Time to share some stories; laugh about adventures you two had; say good-bye. We are here if you need us!!

Baily and Justine - how wonderful!! The Claddagh is a great thing! For those of you who don't know it; here is the way it works - traditionally!

Traditionally, if the ring is on the right hand with the heart facing outward and away from the body, this indicates that the person wearing the ring is not in any serious relationship, and may in fact be single and looking for a relationship: "their heart is open."

When worn on the right hand but with the heart facing inward toward the body, this indicates the person wearing the ring is in a relationship, or that "someone has captured their heart".

A Claddagh worn on the left hand ring finger facing outward away from the body generally indicates that the wearer is engaged.

When the ring is on the left hand ring finger and facing inward toward the body, it generally means that the person wearing the ring is married.

Leave it to the Irish to be able to give a woman one ring she can wear from early in a relationship through their marriage. So romantic!!

I am so sorry Patti. Life is not fair. I personally believe in life after death, specifically heaven - and believe I will see all my friends and family again in heaven. So I believe death is just a short break in our time together. I believe Earth is our temporary home.

I have lost many people close to me in rapid succession - heart breaking describes it well... but I would never give up the heart break by not having the privilege of knowing and loving them.

I thank God every day that I have a heart to love... which unfortunately gives me a heart to break.

I worked as a hospice social worker for a while and found it a huge position of honor to be with people as they walked through their last stage on life here on Earth in peace.

Your friend is blessed to have you and have you care so deeply for her.

I also believe God designed our bodies to cry to cleanse and heal and honor. (anti-histamines help with the sinus headache that follows)

I am always here if you want to talk... and you have my personal email.

I have a friend that will be leaving the hospital today under comfort care only/hospice. I can't stop crying right now.
