It sure does seem like it Izzy, and this call was just outside city limits so it was a rural call where we didn't have very many people on scene either. Of course, I try to get in on every opportunity that presents itself so I can try to learn that much more.

thats great, yeah, it helps when they will take you under their wing and lead you through, and teach you as you go. ya got a great bunch of guys, evidently.

Luckily, the person who reported the smoke showing happened to be one of our full-time FFs who was going to do some maintainance on his water softening equipment at the residence and did a very thorough size-up while we were responding...windows cool to the touch, where the smoke was showing and how much...just awesome info.

Yes Izzy, it was in the smoldering stage until the PPV fan was put in place...the nozzleman and I passed the fireroom initially because we didn't see anything...found it as we backed up a few feet.
