The Backroom Crew

This is a place where we can sit down, put our feet up and chill. Where the Boys and Girls can just be themselves. The Back Room or what most firefighters call a ''day room or rec room'' is the social point of every firehouse.

Fargo is about a two to two and a half hour drive north from here I believe. Even our swimming pool was under water for over half of the summer.

oh, that is great. I'm gonna copy it, and see if I can blow it up. LOL...

I found this on a shirt on the internet awhile ago and thought you might like it.

oh, you guys had it rough last year, how far are you from that one town that flooded so badly? Fargo was it?
Comment by Ernie Scheinert on March 13, 2011 at 1:04am
Probably not a bad idea there...lol. Tween season is a pain in the tail, and, unfortunately, seems to last right up to about late fall, especially if the flooding persists as it did last year.

Have thought about that...guess I could just miss a call or two, it would be like being out of town I guess...I just know it would drive me nuts if the tones drop...LOL. Maybe they would have a set I could borrow for a day or two...will have to look into that.

thats what I thought, but wasnt sure. SD. we've thawed here, and I can't stand this "tween" season, as Ralph calls it. mud. yuk, and these rains are atrocious this year, if this is any indication of what its going to be like this year, then we just need to fast forward to next winter....

oh, ok. you're one of the lucky ones then, ya get to go for the good stuff. what about talking to the Chief, or whoever is in charge of the turnouts, and see if they can get you an extra set, or maybe borrow them while you're washing these. either that, or god forbid, you'll have to sit one or two calls out while they dry

They do let me respond during working hours, mainly for generals (smoke and/or fire showing from a structure). The last call I went on came about 9:20 a.m. on Thursday, which I left work to go to and have had a few generals for smoke showing during working hours that I have left for as well.

Wish I had a spare set so I wouldn't have to worry about anything.
