whats the mounting made of?

really hoping so Izzy. the mounting has me wondering the most, I can't put it under the brim (glare on my shield), and it sits right behind the mount for the shield on top, so I have it angled out slightly.

that will be a good test, just remember, a light piercing through the product of a smoke machine is a lot different than the real thing. you get reflection of a sort from the white smoke from a machine. you get nothing from the black, which is more of what you're going to be exposed to. let us know how it works. you'll like the simulation, though.

I am not sure how well the vantage is going to work for me...hopefully I can get some idea on Tuesday when we go to an older building in town and use the smoke machine to simulate an IDLH atmosphere (part of our cert. training)

I have the Ringers gloves, love them. dont have the Streamlight, I have a Pelican on my helmet that is great.

I finally got a few of the items I ordered...got the length of webbing, a pair of Ringers rope gloves, and a Streamlight Vantage.

LOL Ernie, me neither. Nah, Kevin, couldnt have her walk, she was about 11 miles up the road a piece, and we live out in the middle of nowhere, so walking home, well, speed limit on that road is 55, no lights, very narrow, nah, I better not, I'd have a squished kid, even though I tell her to walk all the time. LOL
