The Backroom Crew

This is a place where we can sit down, put our feet up and chill. Where the Boys and Girls can just be themselves. The Back Room or what most firefighters call a ''day room or rec room'' is the social point of every firehouse.

we just looked up the promo video, and the helmet they show has a Bourke shield, not a traditional

I had that in mind as well which also had me looking at a few other lights which were rated for explosive atmospheres.

another option would be to change shields, if the department allows it. so that the light sits better. the bracket is too short for what you needed, but ya might be able to change the shield. are you allowed Bourkes?

did you take into consideration anything that is rated for hazardous conditions? which, if you think about it, is more of what you would be in, considering the different materials that furniture, carpeting, etc is made from

good point. I was kind of wondering about a solid bracket that would move it up about an inch and a half or so, just enough to get it over the top of the shield mount.

A few different things...the advertised light output and how the beam is shaped, the blue taillight (if it works as they say it does), ease of operation, along with the fact that it's predecessor is their pistol mounted tactical light...should be pretty tough.

a bracket like I have wont work for you, and you dont want to be adding bracket on top of bracket, wont hold as tight, and you dont want it becoming clumsy, and running the risk of getting snagged on something.

I was just looking it up. not a bad light. what made you choose that one?

and it is mounted on a Cairns 660C Metro helmet
