I might try going under the brim again and try moving it forward or back and see if it takes away, or lessens, the glare situation.

hmmm... you just might have to get creative with how you put it on the helmet, I was thinking if it was screw mounted, you could drill new holes, off setting it, which would make up for the issue....

just a thumb screw built into the clamp...easy to move around

well, if you can adjust to that, then you might be ok, me? I like my beam directed more to the front. it all depends, you'll have to try it and see how it works. just remember, your smoke from the machine is going to be a lot different,

I will have to check on that.

The way it is aimed right now, I have the main spot part of the beam, I just need to look slightly to the right so the only thing that the shield mount is blocking is a little bit of the peripheral light.

oh, it happens. ask if you can put a different shield on? I know at our dept now, we are allowed to have either shield, if not, you might have to exchange it.

That about figures...lol. My kind of luck, order something that doesn't work too well on what I have.
