oh yeah - i have been off the FD for 10 years now, so I am sure I have no idea what really is going on in thi modern age... but the core stays the same ;-)

but after 10 years on the FD 24/7/365 pager...
and 20 years social work/therapy with a pager 24/7/365... I am ready to ADD other things to my life besides service to others...

i'm just sayin...

Same here. I try to devote quite a bit of time to the stations as well as learning whatever I can here and around the 'net.

either way - learn all you can - and collect knowledge and skills - ya just never know where you will be and what you will be doing 5 years from now... so hang on to a good attitude and learn learn learn

that is just not right - I like the everyone KNOWS how rule... you never know where you may need your team...

well - I guess they would rather have high-proficiency with lots of experience, than random proficiency - so i understand why they would make that decision

i have to work at the civil court early in the morning... so i will have to DVR the Royal Wedding - hee hee... and watch it in fast forward sometime over the weekend...

but gotta run for now and get a few more things done away from my computer...
