It is definitely a great feeling to have that trust in a mechanic. I would try asking my brother or uncle, but one lives down near San Diego and the other in Oxnard, so, neither one would help you out much where you are at...dang it.

i don't have friends here that even trust ANY mechanics... it is a horrible state of affairs...

everywhere else I have lived I have had friends who were awesome mechanics and well trusted which made me feel safe with them working on my car

If they didn't work on commission, it wouldn't be so bad. There are not very many here that I trust either. Hopefully you can find a good, reputable one!!

i FINALLY have a mechanic that does good body and engine stuff - but not muffler stuff - so I need to find a new shop... which always sucks

since I have had really bad luck with mechanics SNAKES here..
