Yeah, I have seen plenty of the male "mechanics" pull that act on women around here and it really pisses me off!!

I thought I had a plugged converter on my Xterra and found out it was the throttle body, which still boggles my mind. However, the diagnosis was quite reasonable. I took it to the Nissan dealership and they only charged one hour of labor to diagnose any problems with the vehicle, which I thought was pretty awesome, especially being at a dealership...LOL.

Ernie you need to start 16 year olds on "kitten heels" those are 1" heels. You don't start her on HIGH ones.

And in heels - WE WOMEN MUST WALK SLOWER... if only you men walking alongside us would slow your pace to support our heel walking efforts... thus dramatically reducing stumbles...

Ernie - you may be a sail boat in the estrogen ocean - but you should be us... we are ACTUALLY the WAVES and TIDES in that ocean... it is CONSTANT work...

and we never get to dock and go on dry land

my issue is TRUST - I want to feel like I can trust my mechanic - not just have free work that I am suspicious of

LOL...and we don't trust the oldest daughter in anything with heels...she is way too accident prone (stumbles really bad on the first step in heels).

It is quite different living in the Estrogen Ocean...LOL!!

With your car being an older one, it may not be too terribly bad. Normally, I think they range from 150-500, but they have a few different options that one can usually choose from as well. But, if you don't have any drivability problems or a rotten egg smell from the exhaust, I really wouldn't anticipate a bad converter.

Maybe with the mention of a possible sensor issue they might think that you have some idea of what is going on and won't be so apt to screw you WTIHOUT vaseline...hopefully anyway.
