Hey Justin ... ummm, my dad's alma mater was Cornell!! He came from dirt poor family in Paris, Texas ... "small town boy does well" routine. But, yea, they can be pains in the *ss!! Then, to make you miss the Chief's show?! They would be toast in my book!!!

Morning Chief, thanks for the coffee!! Like the tat! Rough night? Too many dino burgers??

Morning Hondo ... please try to keep Chief straight - at least until Jess gets there!!

Ralph ... I am now looking more seriously at gas grills. My biggest requirement was the gas side burner for sauces, sautees, etc. I also like that it can use wood chips! But, that is for the Backyard Griller forum!! :)

Ahhh, if FW would check e-mail, she would see that the ever wonderful Chief put out a grill forum!!! Ain't he just the bestest?!?!?! It is called, "Backyard Griller" ... so, everyone wade on over and give your opinion on gas or charcoal. Do NOT start with the Infrared ... as we can see, that gets the same reaction from FW as talking about water, rain, floods ... LOL!!

Chief, would that be Wilma and Fred's place?? :)

Welcome Heather!! Glad you joined us!! In here, the women take no prisoners ... there usually is not enough of the guys left to take! Oh, and the rest of this week, we get to be extra bad since Chief Mike is away at a conference. He may be checking in, but he is to far away to do anything! :D

Okay Jess ... why gas grill?? (Now does everyone see why I wanted Chief to start a forum for what kind of grill to use?! Argh!)

Please ... Grilling season is here and I would like to buy a grill without having idiots with death wishes telling me (in Greek!), all the pros and cons of the gazillion bloody grills!

The following statement almost cost a salesman his life, "Ma'am, have you considered the new Infrared?" ... No, you idiot, I have never heard of an Infrared grill!! Did I say anything about Infrared? Did you HEAR that word come out of my mouth?!? I said gas or charcoal!! Not friggin' INFRARED!!

What little sanity I have left (shut up Ralph!!), is going away with this quest. Who better to ask than people who know all about cooking on open flames! I let others use my grill to cook the entree while I do the inside work ... getting a clue here about my knowledge level of grilling? Bobbette Flay I am not!! Outdoor cooking was not part of my culinary training (shut up Ralph ... keep your caveperson comments to yourself!).

Thanks gang!! Oh, Chief ... I would like a side of Pterodactyl wings - extra sauce please!

I will be doing chicken, beef, fish, pork ... smoking, grilling, etc. This is why I would like to have something which does both charcoal and gas, but being told I can smoke with gas grill and that makes no sense to me since it is mostly flame, isn't it? I used indoor grills at work (monster babies - loved em along with my flat top!) and they were gas.

Hey Chief, we need to start a forum on grills - charcoal or gas (or both)!! I need help deciding which one (never used gas grill, though prefer cooking on gas stove!), love charcoal, but can be a pain! Help me!!!
