I officially received an offer to become a volunteer at the local dept. I accepted of course and will be fitted for my turnouts on the 25th! I feel good right now!

FW checking in ... heading over to disaster center for some paperwork, then onwards to having some fun for the evening and then packing!!
When I get in to St. Louis, will try to log on and see how everyone is doing! Until then, stay safe and BEHAVE!!! :)

Morning Chief, Justin, Ralph, et al!! Sunny and hot already (8:45 and 80 degrees!) ... to do list is long, so going to get on it! Will play "ghost" today and pop in and out.
Taking my notebook with me this weekend so will check in to see what kind of trouble you all get into while I am away! LOL!!

How sad for him ... so often we wish they could overcome things like this; some make it, others don't. Just breaks your heart!!
Chief ... tell him NOT to make it with 15 scoops!! You don't like your coffee crunchy like I do!! LOL!!

Wow, Jess! That is so cool!! What incredible memories! Now Chief's going to be making some of those with his boys; then, in a couple of years, we will be reading his son's stories here!! So remember Chief, what you do now, may come back to bite you in the butt!! LOL!!

Awh Chief thats great news. I remember joining Schonowe with dad at 16 best time of my life. Wait until they both get to go into there first fire.
I remember my dad when I came out of mine he was running the pump grabbed me by the back of my turnout gear and scolded me for going in while he was watching...lol awh I remember those days all so well.
He would be so proud to know that I'm now following in his footsteps again.
My mom and him would always tell me that the first place they took me to after I was born and only a few days old was the fire house. No wounder why I feel so at home when I'm there.
