The Backroom Crew

This is a place where we can sit down, put our feet up and chill. Where the Boys and Girls can just be themselves. The Back Room or what most firefighters call a ''day room or rec room'' is the social point of every firehouse.

Hey Chief, this is the spider you should have met! At least it would have shared a beer with you before biting you on the butt!! :D

When you said meds made you hungry; automatic thought was steroids!

Poor fella - glad he wasn't hurt! He is learning the "remain calm" lesson ... butt first!! :D

Moody huh? Are you sure you didn't get Viagra mixed in?

Nasty looking thing. Big too. I hope you get well soon but at least you will have us crazies (me included) to keep you company. :)

Morning Chief ... are you on antiobotics and steroids?? Damn spider! Least he could have done was bit you somewhere your dignity could remain intact!! I am glad we have antibiotics, but they almost always make me feel worse than what I am being treated for!! Ugh ... and believe me, none of us are thinking it is not a b*tch for you!! Just glad you went early and are hopefully responding well to treatment!

Morning Mike and Ralph!! Wednesday - Hump Day!! Ummm Ralph, I think Chief meant his son fell down; not him!! At least I hope he did!! Otherwise, that spider bite is much worse than he is telling us!! LOL!!

Oh, btw Ralph ... yesterday topped out at 98 degrees; 82% humidity! Fun time in the city ... NOT!! :)

Chief sounds to me like you need to take yourself out of service for a few days until you are done with your meds. And I'm not thinking this is funny at all. Don't forget though to take all your anti-b so you don't risk the possiblity of an anti-b resistant infection. That would royally suck ostrich eggs.

I bet it is. Like I said though glad you went to the doc early. I will the next time.

I can (and often do!!) complain about the heat!! It is 97 degrees here; tomorrow due to be around 99. Time to move back to the great North!! :D

Thanks for taking care of the boys while I was away ... you did an excellent job of keeping them in line! No calls or complaints from any of the probies! LOL!!

FW - I will make sure the spiders stay far away from Chief. The weather up here is really comfortable right now! A few days ago though you definitly needed the A/C. I love summer though so I can't complain too much.
