Ralph ... every one of those staff brought their happy asses back to the office!! I had the meatheads take roll and report to me. They did not follow evacuation protocol which was the part the got my Victoria's Secrets in a wad!! When they don't, I have to explain where the plan failed and re-educate folks who make probies look like rocket scientists!!
Thank you so much for that reminder Ralph ... I had a FEMA/NOAA advisory in my e-mail box this morning! First tropical storm bit! Yippee!!

Maria ... I am with you on this! After today, I just might do it!! LOL!!

Ummm, Mike M ... I think I would really prefer you start it! Ralph may have a bone or two to pick with me! FW likes pain, but not that much! LOL!!

I hear ya!! My Friday has now turned to sh*t!

We just had a fire alarm test and all Hell broke loose. Did anyone contact me before beginning an evacuation? No, why would they do that?!?! It was clearly stated over PA as an alarm test only - no evacuation. I am on the tenth floor ... my walkie goes off with a status report that floor nine is now clear! Can we say, "FW is pissed?!" Sigh ... FW now gets to explain to Commissioner why the heck folks evac'd without my order ... happy, happy, joy, joy. Grrrrr ...

Hope yours gets better ... definitely aiming for pub after work! No going home to change! Main lining the beer!!

Fw things just got even crazier at work seems like the easy week I was having just went down the drain...late stuff coming in that needs to get done today as it starts on Monday. E-mails coming in from people about how I screwed up traffic information this morning. When the information I was reporting can from a reputable source that was on the scene, that I checked with 3 times about, plus just other things that are now driving me crazy.

Thank goodness I've had my coffee for the day already.

I'm thinking a few vacation days soon are in order!

Morning all! Friday, Friday, Friday!!!! Coffee tastes great and already making plans for the pub this evening (in between actually working!!).

Rossi ... we do have to utilize the pink when he is in a more humorous mood or at least more receptive!! :D

Justin - sorry for the crap. I forgot where I was and added my "two cents worth" at the Morning Coffee Table!! Sucks when funds are short - usually because of poor money managing on the higher levels!

in the town of dryden all of the depts are independant except us and a MA dept. (2 are village depts and 1 is its own district) the 2 village depts were told if they do not want to look into merging then they will only be responsible for the villages (one dept would go from 400+ down to 50-100 calls a year) we were told if they dont get on bored then we will take over there run area which in my opinion would in danger the community. (i mean id rather have a 4 min response time than a 10 min response time)

well the hard economic times have finally made there way to tompkins county ny. last night at the county chiefs meeting the county told us to start to think about consolidation because next year if we dont start consolidation then they will be closing stations. they said we have too many depts in the county (18 including the city, and airport fire depts) they also said they thought it was bs that every dept has atleast 2 engines. so now our consilidation is up to the town bored(they are also the town fire commisionars). so far it looks like an ugly situation. 3 out of the 5 town depts said they will not (and they dont have to, 2 are village depts and one is its own tax district with its own commisionars)
