This is a place where we can sit down, put our feet up and chill. Where the Boys and Girls can just be themselves. The Back Room or what most firefighters call a ''day room or rec room'' is the social point of every firehouse.

Morning Chief! Ahhh, a kidlet who works instead of imitating moss growing on trees!! What a nice concept! LOL!! Thanks for the coffee; really needed it after trivia night last evening!! Glad you didn't behave because Maria and Jess did!! I am going to have a talk with them about this - damaging our image with that kind of behavior!!

Morning Ralph ... ever do Chuck-eyes? Love those things! Used to be inexpensive and great flavor.

Mikey - great news!!! Glad you finally took a shower without my having to come up there and have a chat with you! Fumes were reaching the KY/TN border and complaints were coming in!! Also, really glad you got some sleep. Insomnia is a real b*tch!!!

Maria, you and I will have a chat about your behavior last night! Head of Security called to tell me how bored he and the boys were ... not a good thing kiddo!! You are supposed to use and abuse those men - they LIVE for it!! :D

Morning Hondo, hope it does cool off! If the humidity level would just stay low, it would be easier to deal with the heat! That stuff just saps the life out of a person!

Ok I found the cure for insomnia. Sleep! Yes I got sleep last night at least until 0450 when we got a call. Ran the call, took a shower now I feel good and smell good. Now if I could just do something about my looks I'd have it made! By the way everyone coffee is on.

Jess, I think all three applicants (and Head of Security) know how to cook ... really well!! I will send # 3 with you tomorrow while Maria and I handle, I mean interview!, applicant # 1 a little more closely this weekend!

Thanks for the Area Code!

Hi Chief!! Glad you are back! We three angels have been covering the station in your absence (covering it with what, I will not say)! We are all a little hot and tired so heading over to the Deck and Pool for a little R&R with our applicants! Got to put those men through their paces!!

FW and Maria its definitly hot in here. I may have to try applicant # 3 on Monday I'm going camping tomorrow night for the weekend. Unless you want to send him with me. I'm sure the girls from my hockey team would love to put him to the test this weekend. The only thing is does he know how to cook?

FW- All of Schenectady uses the 518 area code.

I do so LOVE concealed weapons!! Phew, getting warmer in here or is it just me?!?!?

I am saving # 1 for last!! Our head of security may have to try on the white jacket too ... warming things up a bit there!!

Hey Jess ... is all of Schenectady 518 area code?

Hi Jess ... I am hoping for some flames too! Heh, heh, heh!! Going to try some of those Mango Margaritas tonight ... icy cold and smooth going down! Yummmy! May also give # 3 a whirl!! He did fairly well in his little white jacket last night!

Maria - Your right we've got everything under control well FW is gone.

Ralph - Yes I see it. But from here it seems like its wedged between two devil horns.

FW - #2 did do a great job on the flames didn't he. All I'm going to need today from him is some more of those margaritas.

Bailey - Welcome!

Chief - Hope you enjoyed that lunch in the club house and didn't drink too much this afternoon.

Now ya see, we have seen what happens when people try to bait hooks while intoxicated; cast their lines while intoxicated; play golf while intoxicated, etc. To tell you the truth, often, it ain't pretty!! LOL!!

They have closed golf greens here a few times because of heat ... usually over 105 degrees. Mostly, it is an insurance issue since some people are too insane to realize how deadly that heat is with no shade and no water. Sand traps take on the appearance of deserts and the club house becomes the oasis you see but cannot get to! LOL!!

BTW Chief, the Sand Wedge also doubles as a cane.
