The Backroom Crew

This is a place where we can sit down, put our feet up and chill. Where the Boys and Girls can just be themselves. The Back Room or what most firefighters call a ''day room or rec room'' is the social point of every firehouse.

That works! If there are snakes around and there is any form of weapon which uses good old fashioned lead ammo; I am a happy camper!!

Fork it over, Ralph!! Otherwise, I will get my other weapon - and it makes my Sig look cute!!

Hey, I did my time years ago riding shotgun (literally!) in the hills of TX on rattler patrol!! I no longer go looking for the little bast*rds!!

Since carrying a Sig P228 around when doing recovery work would most likely get me in trouble ("No officer, I did not just take a shot at that female! I was shooting the damn snake behind her!"), I will just avoid swampy areas!

By the way Ralph ... did you SERIOUSLY call me a "girly girl"???

Chief, will talk to the boys about getting deck cleared and have the cooler stocked up for you!!

Part of the problem is location of large amounts of the stagnant waters ... not in yards, gardens, etc., but in areas near these homes and businesses. Very hard to control mosquitoes due to manpower which would be needed to find them all and treat waters for infestations.

And to be honest, I am NOT volunteering for that duty - HazMat suit, or not!! I will run into a burning building, step in front of a bullet, eat tripe ... I will not go into those areas simply because I am a friggin' weenie when it comes to snakes and areas in which they tend to live! Just not doing it!!
