Oh boy, another weekend. Close to triple digit temps, 300 people gathering for a 3 day water skiing competition. Heat, babes, bathing suits.
Guess I'll be forced to make an appearance several times this weekend... public relations and all. ;0

ATTENTION! ATTENTION! MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE!! It is official! This weekend, at the Deck and Poolside, we are having the first ever, "Chief Mike France Grill-Off"! It will take place starting early Friday evening and go through Sunday night. All beverages will be furnished as well as meats. For this year, Chief has chosen Pork and Venison.

Guys will do the grilling; gals will do the sides and desserts. Yes, I know this is sexist, but hey, if we have any gals who want to grill, they can head topside to the deck and join in! Personally, I prefer to stay on the pool level and avoid all that testosterone flying around (plus the fact we have our own little testoronites in Cabana Boys!). Also, guys can furnish sides and/or desserts if they want, just not necessary since you will be grilling.

Gals, What would you want to serve/eat at a backyard cook-out? Toss it out here for all to enjoy!

What we are trying do is get everyone to share their tips, techniques, and recipes for grilling pork and venison as well as those for great sides and desserts for a cook-out. This is all being done in FUN!! Participation is completely voluntary! Since that is the case, everyone will of course be a winner! But, the competition will be fierce because it is a bunch of guys who have been challenged to be the best they can at the grill!!

Eat, drink, and be merry! We gals are going to be playing down by the pool while you guys slave away over hot grills! Our Cabana Boys will take care of us while your Pool Girls make sure you have cold drinks and a cool cloth for your sweaty brows! The Head of Security will make sure all stays as it should ... he has the chains to prove it!!

All are welcome to party with us!!

Hey John! Good to see you again. We are already at 97 degree heat index and only 11:30. Seeing as you are south of us, how are your temps running?

We are doing a grill-off this weekend in the Deck and Poolside ... want to join? Chief chose venison and pork as the meats. Guys grilling; gals doing sides and desserts.

ALL: I will be posting a little more info in Deck and Poolside as a guide for everyone who wants to take part. This is all for fun ... great way to share some recipes and cooking techniques/tips with our FFN buddies! Posting time will be from Friday evening through Sunday night (that should help with all the crazy schedules!).
