The Backroom Crew

This is a place where we can sit down, put our feet up and chill. Where the Boys and Girls can just be themselves. The Back Room or what most firefighters call a ''day room or rec room'' is the social point of every firehouse.

George, that term is a less polite one, but an apt description! Buckle Bunnies, Badge Bunnies ... I am trying hard to remember what they are called for the different military services!! Mostly, they are just called, "pitiful"!!

We are working on that one George.

Marina, a good example: here in Nashville, we are having a blood drive (people donate blood to our Red Cross) called, "Battle of the Badges". It is a competition between our Sheriff's Department, Police Department, and Fire Department. The number of women lined up for this is amazing. It is being held at a stadium here if that gives you an idea of numbers!! Not a whole lot of men in line! LOL!!

I think every profession has "badge bunnies". As a younger man I acted in Wild West type shows at a tourist attraction out West. That's where I first became familair with the "badge bunnies" term. One girl I worked with called them "Cowboy sluts". No, this young lady wasn't afraid to call it like it is. And, as an even younger man, I wore the uniform of a US Marine. Now THAT's a chick magnet uniform.
I don't think a term has been coined for men chasing females in uniform. If you come up with a good one, I'll help spread it around.

chief.....structural fire....but pub, hotel, type of business, cause of fire????? you guys seem to top ventilate alot over there, we don't tend to get on the roof here at all.

LMAO....ok I get the picture.....nice name for them, but what do you call a guy that hangs out around badges? we have a guy that phones around the stations at night, although he has been quiet for a while now....but he was known as the boot licker...obviously because of the offer to lick boots....sick puppy....lol, our stations aren't as open as yours are, we don't get alot of people dropping in, don't know why.....you do see a lot of "badge bunnies" attending triple 000 nights....triple 000 ( dial triple 000 for emergencies not 911) generally police, fire, ambos and nurses drink nights

Hi Marina, a badge bunny is a woman who chases after a man who wears a badge or uniform (police, firefighter, etc.). They are ridiculed by most of our guys for good reason. There are other "bunnies" (rodeo riders call them "buckle bunnies" because they win buckles when they win a rodeo ...). These women don't care about the person; just the uniform.

Cutesy blood drive today ... donate a pint to your favorite service - Sheriff's Department, Metro Police Department, or Metro Fire Department!! Sigh ... I can see the lines forming now!! Badge Bunnies everywhere!!

Everyone have a great day ... as always, stay safe, stay cool, and like the Chief's five pound weight loss shows, HYDRATE!!
