The Backroom Crew

This is a place where we can sit down, put our feet up and chill. Where the Boys and Girls can just be themselves. The Back Room or what most firefighters call a ''day room or rec room'' is the social point of every firehouse.

Afternoon all!! Ralph sent me a comment on my new profile picture. Well, for my early birthday treat on Friday night, the pub crew gave me three large stars as table decorations. Now, strategically place these on FW ... hmmm, nope! Not enough alcohol on the planet to make that a pretty picture!!! LOL!! I just thought the guys out there might like the Sponge Bob costume ... "My, oh my, what big eyes you have!"

Been a bit worried there Jess! Glad you are back!! Thanks for birthday wishes ... looks like a whole weekend of play time for me!

Last night was a blast ... Buca di Beppo for dinner and then off to my favorite pub. Band who was supposed to play called out at last minute so staff grabbed a few of my buddies and convinced them to play a special gig! What a hoot!! Two rockers and a country boy ... all new versions of songs! It was a blast and reminds me how fortunate I am to have so many incredible people in my life! Including my FFN family! You guys are the best!

Everyone have a great day ... stay safe out there - otherwise FW will be pissed and you do NOT want a pissed of FW!!

Chief, I might take you up on that offer.....Will be staying on the east coast for at least 2 days before heading back to the desert. Then back to work the following day. I know, no rest for the weary.

Off to the fun (keeping fingers crossed we don't deploy!).

Chief, be safe and try (operative word!) to keep dry! Ralph ... same to you fella!! Will keep checking in over the weekend to see if any further news!! Oh, and yeah, take extra socks!! Learned that one the hard way!!!

I am still new to this type of deployment ... usually just worked TN. Put name in for more now that son is out of school. We have two task forces here (TN-TF1 and TN-TF2) that do what you are describing.

Hey Rossi! Thanks my friend! Sorry about all the stinkers at the airport. No fun ... just hope you are not flying with the whole group sitting around you!! Ugh!

Sorry guys ... birthday is tomorrow so the OLD in the air today must be the "eau de Chief and Ralph"!

I got the FEMA alert this morning, but so far NC is not bad enough for us to deploy. I didn't volunteer for the East Coast contingent. Too long to be away - might run into wedding time and FW would get shot, drawn, and quartered by family!

Okay, so ummm, Chief? You would let Rossi drive the car, but not FW?? Now you see why Earl is heading YOUR way. He is a guy so doesn't ask for directions ... inland won't bother him since he is so full of all that hot air!!
