Sounds like that went pretty good for you, Brian, and if you have the fan, then, yes, use it!!  Additionally, with a PPV, you can probably vent 2-3 rooms at a time with ease as long as mother nature is not fighting you.

Heard 4 are doing ok and the other 2 went to a different hospital. First time being command on a call like that! Went real smooth and the guys did a great job!! And yes I did tell them so!! We just did a informal critique with myself and some of the newer guys. Glad to.see they wanted to see what they could have done better. So I busted their balls about ventilation since they opened every window instead of pressurizing the building and and venting one room at a time

Still working on gear storage for cold weather here, too.

 

Brian, I haven't had one of those calls...yet, however, I am anticipating CO calls to start before too long here.

Just got back from a CO call with 6 patients and meters pegged at over limit. Upon arrival there was 4 people on the ground and 2 still inside. Crew grabbed the 2 from inside. 3 ambulances and medics

Jim glad to hear you are safe! Sorry I have not been chatting with you about your week - my has been messy and random... 

 

Sarah - sounds like your gear can stay at your station 100% of the time - if you always respond to your station before calls. I understand you use your parents for "transportation" so you are at a slight disadvantage for mobility - but I would be pissed at my local firefighter if they tracked carcinogenic crap through MY FOOD STORE...   so next time go in socks... or go later... ask a store employee to go get your items... or pick another option...  just sayin...

 

******* AND YOUR DEPARTMENT SHOULD HAVE TAUGHT YOU ALL OF THIS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    FIRST !!   So Sarah - slap them around FOR ME - for NOT KEEPING YOU and your family safe from the crap that we collect in our trainings and on scene...

I actually don't bring my turnouts to my house unless I absolutely HAVE to. (like classes)
