I lived most of my life in Vermont - which usually has Colorado beat for snow and ICE ICE ICE !!!

So you come back and talk to me when you enter a Big Boy State to live !!!

Good Morning Everyone...Coffee please....Snow is heading in our direction from both the south (Thanks FW) and the West (Thanks Ralph) both meeting somewhere over the mid-atlantic region. Such Fun. I don't worry about the amount until it starts falling....Weather people have no clue.

-8 and 6in. of snow here at 10,000ft. in Colorado. No calls yet but bad roads almost never cause the locals to slide into ditches. It's the Texans and So. Cal. people we got to watch for. God I hope Heather dosen't come for a visit.

I am one of those drivers who sees snow/ice and hides..... Thank god there are other people who know how to drive in this.... The guys did say they are going to take me to an empty lot for training.....

The snow plow guy tried to find the grit on the side of the road and rolled it... amazed he walked away with nothing.....

They are predicting an ugly snow storm coming through our area. Which means stupid people will be out trying to drive in it. If it messes with my game tonight I am going to be pissed....

Oregon Ducks will kick Auburns tush and take the BCS championship title tonight.....

Morning All,

FW & Patti, be careful out there. We're supposed to get a little bit of snow here starting late tonight into tomorrow. They're calling for 1 - 3" here, which is enough to cause headaches.

There fire turned out to be a light in a barn that freaked some lady out and one of our engines (the one that said it was slicker en goose snot) nearly went into the ditch at the same time as the snow plow. What a freaking morning. They are predicting it to be worse.

Morning all.... It was anything but a quiet weekend.... Took the water supply class, that was just freaking awesome! The little nerd in me was just tickled pink. Yesterday morning we get toned out for a roll over at 6:30, then a fire at 6:45, then another roll over at 7:00. By this time we have decided to shut down the roads until ODOT could get us some sanders/icers (oh wait one of those was the roll over...) Majority of this happened in from on my station. During all of this time we had three more car accidents, one really nasty one with brain injury. After four hours of being closed ODOT got their plow out of my ditch and had other equipment to de-ice and sand the roads. One of the guys told dispatch that he was going slow cause it was "slicker en goose snot" out here.

Hey Jess! Thanks for the extra pot and donuts! From what they are saying, this may keep giving us an extra inch or two each day through Wednesday. Hate that it is heading your way. We are getting better at clearing the main roads out here in Franklin; they actually do pretty well. Nashville? Not so much! LOL!!
