Hey all, I'm happy to say that after 3 years of bow hunting I finally got the monkey off my back and arrowed a mature doe on Oct. 3. She only went about 50 yards before she piled up!

Sunday. I went out in the backyard to shoot a few arrows into the block today. As I walk out the back door with my bow in the case, 2 deer run off into the woods. I think they know its Sunday (damn blue laws). TJC

I am SOOO glad it is hunting season! I missed last year and I am taking my wife with me this year! She really wants to learn about it! I am so glad I have a classy chick like that! And just to be able to shoot my first deer with my bow will be outstanding! I have shot deer with a rifle, but this will be my first true test. I have only been for about 3 years now, and havent had the chance to fling at a deer yet! Let one come stamping out this year! This is going to be a good year! Good luck guys! Y'all stay safe too!

am taking my boys on there first tent camping trip. any ideas on how to make it as memorable for them as it will be for me. their ages are 5,4, and 2. I've been looking forward to this for the past two months and i cant wait. the best part, my dad is going to be there in his camper. even better they dont even know were going yet, it is going to be a surprise for them. i plan on doing the camp fire smores and regular camp stuff. any extra ideas will be appreciated.

sounds like everyone is getting the urge.We [my 2 boys and I]are going out this afternoom to build a couple of blinds and look around. Then sight in my new rifel. In. has a special "youth weekend hunt" next weekend,cant wait!This will be my youngests first yr in the woods with his gun. No matter how it goes Im sure its going to be a great season.

me too i just cant wait until deer hunting season to open up here in MN so that i can get that nice 30 point buck hahaha
