The old squad was stored in a garage up past the new Communication Center. I saw it on a deployment during the Northridge Earthquake. Memories!!!!

It really hard to believe that I went to Daniel Freeman School for Paramedics back when this show started. We would watch it on our breaks and evaluate it to make sure everything was followed per protocal. One of my instructors was hired by the show to maintain it's realisim. She quit after the episode of Johnny starting an IV on himselve after a snake bite and had to ride on top of the Engine to the Hospital. That's the difference between real life and TV!!! I graduated in June of 1981 when you either went to Freeman (if you were a private provider) or Harbor General (if you work for LA City or County) the old Rampart General! I think I still have my LA County Paramedic patch somewhere.. Captain Mike Wilson

I credit Emergency for my wanting to get involved in the fire service. I watched that show every week, and Emergency+4 cartoon every Saturday morning. As soon as I was old enough, I became a junior firefighter, and have been in the fire service 30 years now. What a great recruitment tool!!

I still love this show! Now my two boys can watch seasons 1 thru 4 with me. I still remember only being able to watch it once a week, Saturday at 8pm. Man are we spoiled now! :-)
