I get tired of mentioning Gage & DeSoto in my EMT classes and getting these blank stares from all the young pups. A couple of the recruits were amazed that a tv show could have had such an impact on developing EMS as we know it today.

Now, my kids are watching the DVDs with me, and going outside and responding to their own "rescues" in the yard. I have the DVDs from Seasons 1-4 and my kids have watched all of the first 3 seasons, we are working on the 4th season set that we just opened last night.

This show was awesome in it's day. Between watching Roy and Johnny and the gang and my dad being in the fire service it's now wonder I'm where I am today. I guess most people in this groupe are of the "older" generation. Proud to be here.

It was what made me want to become a MET. Course, women weren't allower yet back then. Just had to wait till the times caught up.
