this article highlights 2 careers in the FDNY these men each served over the course of Many years 80 years collectively just a good Positive read , Capt. Morris from Rescue 1 was a good freind, after I took ill he was supportive and when I mentioned tongue in cheek that I'd applyed to take the Dispatchers test, He told me that if you choose to take the job call me !! I explained It wa more an attempt on my part to continue feeling useful ( I took the test, and even came out high enough for consideration, but nothinng I needed to be involved with :) having the senior man of Rescue 1 "put a word in for you" is often the ONLY way you would specific assignments...for a dispatcher, that might be a specific Communications office as opposed to another.... nice to know the man would "take you under his wing so to speak....." God bless You Both brothers !!!
