Also Firefighter angels watches over them every day and night. I again pray for our troops who are fighting over there every day.

kevin allen, the same goes for me to.
good night.
kevin allen, you are right.

good night.
Jack look at the flag on Kevin's information site, it explains a lot.
Kevin;
you are just another a**hole that was not there and did not see any of it just sat at home and watched the tv i was there were u?

I hope you did not intend to make that comment sound like everyone who was NOT there, but sat at home and watched it on TV, is an A**hole. I am certain that is not your intent...right?
It could easily be read that way ...well, not easily..but some might want to twist that around.. not me.. but someone might right ?
"you are just another a**hole that was not there and did not see any of it just sat at home and watched the tv i was there were u?"

Since this thread will be deleted anyways, and you are clearly being a dick about this whole thing, who the hell are you to think you are better than everyone else? You know, I truly feel bad for those, such as yourself and your wife, who had to deal with that mess in person, but holy shit dude, relax. People are allowed to have their own opinions. Seriousely, where do you get off calling people assholes because they were home watching it on tv. You really think you're better than everyone because you were unfortunate, or fortunate enough, however you see it, to be there when all that shit took place? You think your feelings are more valuable than others who were not there and lost their families in that shit. Get off your high horse and get a grip on reality man. You don't need to be attacking people just because they don't agree with you or see things differently.
You were on to something when you mentioned that freedomn of religion seems to be disappearing, but who are you to be the judge of when and where it happens?
Again, I truly feel bad for those who were there at the time. But just like evey other race of people in the world, there are assholes is every group. So, I say, let the Muslims do whatever the hell they want to do with their own property. And yes, I am just "another asshole that was not there and just sat home on my ass and watched it on tv.
screw you and have a good night
Crap Brian, you beat me to it...lol
would have been nice if that was clarified before I spoke. oh well. I ran with it.

No one in NYC has a problem with Cordoba house. Read what the Mayor had to say about it:

This building is private property, and the owners have a right to use the building as a house of worship, and the government has no right whatsoever to deny that right. And if it were tried, the courts would almost certainly strike it down as a violation of the U.S. Constitution.

Whatever you may think of the proposed mosque and community center, lost in the heat of the debate has been a basic question: Should government attempt to deny private citizens the right to build a house of worship on private property based on their particular religion? That may happen in other countries, but we should never allow it to happen here.

This nation was founded on the principle that the government must never choose between religions or favor one over another. The World Trade Center site will forever hold a special place in our city, in our hearts. But we would be untrue to the best part of ourselves and who we are as New Yorkers and Americans if we said no to a mosque in lower Manhattan.

Let us not forget that Muslims were among those murdered on 9/11, and that our Muslim neighbors grieved with us as New Yorkers and as Americans. We would betray our values and play into our enemies' hands if we were to treat Muslims differently than anyone else. In fact, to cave to popular sentiment would be to hand a victory to the terrorists, and we should not stand for that.

Our rights as Americans are not up for a vote, they aren't a popularity contest, they don't require a referendum. They are inalienable. Don't be so ready to sell out your country from fear and intolerance.
I WAS WITH BYRAM FIRE DEPT. IN GREENWICH CONNECTICUT AT TIME AND WE WERE ON LOCKDOWN,ALL I COULD REMEMBER WAS WHAT THE HELL WAS HAPPENING? WE SPENT MOST OF THE NIGHT WATCHING THE TV. 9/11/01 I WILL NEVER FORGET I KNEW A FEW PEOPLE WHO PERISHED.
Vic, when you say "No one in NYC has a problem with Cordoba house." you apparently haven't heard from the many New Yorkers who don't want the muslim center built near Ground Zero. In fact, a Quinnipac University poll says that 52% of New Yorkers don't want the muslim center built near Ground Zero.
Thank you Vic, well said.
Sadly this is a prefect example of one group being singled out due to the actions of of a few. Now w/that said I hold the memories of that day and will always recall what i was doing and I pay my respects to ALL that died that day .

Do I think its of good taste ? a kick in the back no not really/ maybe so, but that's my right and I choose not openly condemn a whole groups of people or what or who they choose to pray too.

like I said before not all are bad due to the actions of some. I think most get caught up in the moment and forget that. besides I would think that there are much more things to worry about then what church or what not goes up. Like what is being done for the families of the victims and the survivors and how & what we can learn for that tragic day.If that makes me an asshole because I choose to remember what America was built on then so be it, I may not always agree or think something is not in good taste but I deal with it.
Well, maybe, except for his claim that is demonstrably inaccurate by a rate of 52% or so...
