How old is your oldest active member?

Our oldest active member is 75 with 46 years active service. Still going strong.

We don't allow anyone that old in our department. It's way too dangerous. However we are a busy department with many houses running 20+ runs a tour. I forgot the amount of years they let you serve but I know they usually try to get you to retire after you put in 30 years.(we require 25) We only hire guys between 19-31. So no one is really over the age of 60 except for a few in the ems division since they have a completely different set of rules, hiring process and their own union. We may have dropped the age limit in recent years to attract medics but I don't know for sure.
I can retire by 46 and probably won't stay past 50. We run 170,000 runs a year and this place really burns many out. Maybe I'll find a nice relaxing volunteer house at some point.
