what do you like better leather firefighting boots or rubber?

When i joined my dept, I was issued the tradional rubber boots, which worked out well but didn't like them too much. I always had to wear 2 sets of socks just have the extra comfort and tighter fit. A few months down the road when I had the extra money, I bought my leather thorogood 14 inch firefighting boots and my feet feel great, fit tight and form to my foot. Wandering what you all feel about your boots, and what kind you have on your feet?

I spent the first 4 years wearing rubber boots and I can honestly say, I hated every step in them. The more steps, the more my feet and shins hurt. The width was huge and they were just plain bad!
So, we went to STC leather boots. I have the pull on pair and I love them. They are comfortable, no foot, leg or back pain and they fit like a glove! I would say, if you have the choice, go for leather.
