I am asking all of the members here on FFN to keep the State of West Virginia in your thoughts & prayers. At approximately 3 p.m., Monday, April 5th, there was an explosion in a coal mine in the lower part of the state. According to the reports of the incident I have read online, there were at least 21 mine workers injured, 7 confirmed fatalities and possibly up to 19 mine workers are still missing. There are nine rescue crews of six members each working on rescuing the missing mine workers.

Thank you for all your support during this tough time for our State. Let's pray that our brothers & sisters on those rescue teams are able to return to their families quickly & safely.

My wife and I are both praying for the victims and the families as well as the community. This is a tragic event and we all need to keep these people in our prayers. We are also saying a special prayer for the responders, Fire, EMS, Police and any other specialized personnel who are dealing with this incident.
You have prayers coming from Santa Barbara, Colorado and South Africa. You can't have enough Tammy... I am confident that the rescue teams are well prepared and moving forward toward finding the missing miners. Our thoughts and prayers will be directed toward this goal and their safety. God bless you and yours. CBz
It has just been reported on FOX News that 25 mine workers are now confirmed deceased in this tragedy with at least 4 more that remain missing. All rescue efforts have been halted at this time until conditions improve with air quality. Please continue to pray for all the families that have lost a loved one. There are also people requesting that everyone turn your porch light on to show your sympathy for these families. Thank you to everyone for your prayers!

Tragic. My thoughts go out to the trapped workers and their families. The US has an amazing mine rescue team, let us hope the can pull off another miracle.

The deregulation and easing of mine safety standards over the past several years pretty much ensured this sort of thing was going to happen. Please, please, please look at what your Representatives and Senators are doing in this field and vote accordingly.
The workers as well as the families are in my prayers tonight
my fire rescue volunteer brgade her in the philippines as well as my famiy, are praying for the victims and families as well as the rescuer who are working in this tragic incident.....may the GOD ALLMIGHTY be with you all......
