From the made for TV move "fire on the 37th floor" You guys go up to 36 and put it out. Put it out or dont come back alive...(after they take off with a gong ho yell and charge he tells another chief)...you grab a bunch of guys and go up to 37 and get what they dont, those guys are gonna die up there.
When I was a company officer I had a few of my own..."Grab everything that kills fire and lets go"..."we're gonna find it, kill it, get out in one piece and go home"..."Too late to become a cop now lets put this out"
My favorate FDNY saying, "We're going to work"

My father (current Chief for our department commenting on mutual aid): "I'd rather be told by a department 'go home, we don't need you', than be told we were needed and not called."
