It does bring back that familiar flair the show had. It sort of lost something when Tommy was not drinking. I do think he needed the break to develop that side of the character, but I like Tommy the way Tommy is. It just would not be right if he could not talk to the family...or have them taunt him from beyond the grave...

as the show is better with him drinking, as a drunk i can tell you he is goin to explode! as i have not drank for a few years this is the best, and closest to a reality show as any drunk could ask for. thanks rescue me.

Will he lose it... for sure. The show works better with him drinking. Gives it a little extra kick.

I don't think it is ever good to show that even a functioning alchoholic is good for entertainment. Why can't he just be the OLD Tommy and not drink? I think the writer's are getting lazy. Too many people believe TV and it puts a bad image out there. Love the show, love to drink, but don't like the off-handed entertainment of an alchohlic being at the end of a life line.
