Over The Hill Gang, But Sill Active

I started this group last week, and I see that I haven't received much activity on it as yet.
This Group is for senior members of the fire service that are over the age of 55. Maybe I should have named the group " On Top Of The Hill Gang " and then maybe I would get some activity. I don't want anyone to take offence by me using the theme " Over The Hill Gang " I was just trying to reach out to our senior members of the fire service that are still active. I know that there are a lot of us out there. If you think I should change the name of the group to " On Top Of The Hill Gang " or something else, please let me know. My aim was to start a group for members over the age of 55 that are still active. If anyone has any better names, or ideas please let me know. Thank you, and please be kind with your comments.

Yup, used to fight over the tailboard unless it was cold and raining.

Oldman, Coming from a Ladder company, we never had to fight for a
spot on the running boards, we always had plenty of room. LOL
Those were the days, I can remember it as if it was yesterday.

Hey Jeff, I don't like to use the word OLD, unless you are talking about cars, or
trucks LOL. We don't get Old, just better. LOL As far as on Top of the hill, I've
been there, not as much fun as you might think it is, and as you may know, once
you are on top, there is only one place to go, and that's down. I was thinking of
maybe calling it,( Senior Firefighters ) but still haven't totally made up my mind as
yet. Good to hear from you again, talk to you again soon.

Hey Bob, You have been in the fire service for 35 years, is that the respect
you get from your fellow brothers ??? Old Fart, if I was called a Old fart, I would
lay that person down, just to show them I may be older then them, but I am not

You are absolutely correct ... call me an old fart and It's in your face.
I call myself an old fart ! I'm old ...I can do that.
Whenever anyone starts to give me any crap about moving a little slower I just say, "Hey, leave me alone ...I'm an old guy and us old guys pee funny !" LOL

I have given the group a new face lift. It is no longer the ( Over The Hill Gang, but still Active ) It is now called ( Senior Firefighters, Still Active ) I have also lowered the age to 50.
I do hope that works for everyone.

back in 88 we were in middle of a waterball tournament when siren in village sounded. Reported as a shed fire six miles from town. Asst chief had 1975 international 2000 gal tanker with no running boards. When he pulled up on scene, five firemen climbed down from the top. Asst. chief didn't know they were there. home owner couldn't figure out why we had 50 firemen on scene. 12 5-man teams were participating in the waterball games.
